Reynold Greenlaw, Alexander Technique teacher
I started with the Alexander Technique in 1995 on the advice of an osteopath.
I was getting recurring headaches from working at my desk.
The osteo could fix me but said, if I wanted a permanent fix, "try the Alexander Technique" and all those years later, here I am.
I like the way the technique teaches people to help themselves, and I like the gentle, thoughtful approach.
I am interested in taking the Alexander Technique into office work and particularly working with computers.
The Alexander technique is used a lot by professional dancers, actors and athletes, but I think the office
environment is the most challenging of all.
Through applying the Alexander Technique I also learnt to run without pain.
I teach the Alexander Technique to people interested in improving their jogging.
(Please note that I am definitely an Alexander teacher, not a running coach or physio.)
Also, I am a member of Parkinson's UK and give lessons to people with Parkinson's - something for which the Alexander Technique has been recommended by NICE.
